An illuminated page from Genesis I in an edition of the Old Testament, created in Catalonia, Spain in 1465. It features intricately decorated margins, depicting the events of the first 6 days of the creation, starting in the lower left, with the creation of light, followed by the creation of the firmament, the creation of land and foliage, the sun and the moon, birds and fish, and ending with the creation of Adam in the top right. At the top left of the page God can be seen, resting on the 7th day.
