The grounds of the palace of Farhat Bakhsh in Lucknow lit by innumerable coloured lamps. One of the many watercolours produced by the artist Sita Ram who accompanied Lord Moira (afterwards the Marquess of Hastings) on a journey from Calcutta to Delhi between 1814-15. On the palace terrace the Nawab (provincial governor), enjoys the spectacular fireworks display accompanied by his guests. Add.Or.4760
