Maharana Fateh Singh of Udaipur atop an elephant
Maharana Fateh Singh (reigned 1884-1921) is featured with a gold and green nimbus riding an elephant in a royal procession in 1888-89. The kings of Rajasthan were great patrons of art and often commissioned portraits and lavish depictions of court life. This painting is attributed to the royal artist Shivalal and was painted at the royal court of Udaipur (Rajasthan, India), circa 1888-89. Add.Or.5603.
