Rama and the monkey army set out to rescue Sita
Once Hanuman has returned to Rama with news of where the demon Ravana is holding Sita, Rama sets out with the monkey army to rescue her. Here Rama is shown riding Hanuman and Laksmana is on Angada. This copy of the Ramayana was commissioned by Rana Jagat Singh of Mewar in Rajashan between 1649 and 1653.
