Rama, Sita and Laksmana leave Ayodhya
Rama, his wife Sita and his brother Laksmana ride off in a chariot driven by Sumantra after being ordered into exiled from the kingdom. His father, Dasaratha, and his wives follow with outstretched arms, begging them to stay for longer. Taken from Ramayana, Ayodhya Kanda. This copy of the Ramayana was commissioned by Rana Jagat Singh of Mewar in Rajashan between 1649 and 1653.
