Scenes from Genesis
This page from a fourteenth-century manuscript known as The Golden Haggadah contains illustrations from Genesis. Anticlockwise from the top right the images are: Adam naming the animals, the Creation of Adam and Eve, the Temptation, Cain and Abel offering a sacrifice and Cain slaying Abel, and Noah and his family exiting the ark. The Golden Haggadah was created in northern Spain, probably Barcelona, c.1320.
