Two ladies by the sea
Originally entitiled Bathing Place, Morning Dresses, this image features two ladies out on a windy morning for a walk. They have on bonnets, and one woman wears a shawl over her morning dress. These ladies are at a fashionable seaside resort; and bathing huts / machines can be seen in the bottom left corner of the image. The image is from Gallery of Fashion. London, 1794-1802.
